New Milton Evangelical Free Church

Taking God at his Word

Who's who

Pastor: Simeon Woodcraft

Simeon has been married to Liz for 11 years and they have 5 children. He has been the Pastor of NMEFC for approximately 2 1/2 years. He became a Christian 16 years ago through the work of Bedford Young Life, after hearing a friends testimony he came under conviction of sin, repented and asked Jesus into his life.

Up until Simeon was called to NMEFC he was involved in the farming industry, feeling that God had other plans for his life Simeon went through the Prepared for Service (PfS) training course with the FIEC and shortly after finishing that course was brought into contact with NMEFC.

Simeon has a passion for the gospel and by God's grace hopes to see the work in this church prosper to the Glory of God.

Elder: Patrick Hawes

Patrick is married to Elizabeth and has two grown up daughters. Patrick who moved to New Milton about 4 years ago when he retired from the Ministry, has been an active member in the church for that time. It is Patrick's desire to help Simeon lead the church in the spreading of the gospel and the building up of the saints.

Patrick has responsability for the Thursday Fellowship program and as a gifted organiser is also the church secretary, the man to talk to when you want things done!

 Deacon: William (Bill) Harding

Bill moved to New Milton 7 years ago and joined NMEFC about 18 months ago.  He has been involved in church life all his life and was converted and baptised in 1943.  He was brought up to attend church, Sunday School, Christian Endeavour and The Boys’ Brigade.  He has been a local preacher for over 40 years.  It was in Luton that he met Mollie, married, and moved to Flitwick, and then to Stewartby.

Bill and Mollie have been married for 59 years and have 7 children, 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (and counting).  He has served in a number of Baptist churches as deacon and elder.    Bill preaches, leads Bible studies, produces the church Newsletter and is responsible for Fire Safety amongst other things.

It is his prayer that many in New Milton shall come to know the Lord Jesus as Saviour and Lord, loving and trusting Him as he has for so many years and still does.
